Our Mission
Faith Moravian Church, responding to God’s love has been called to:
- Spread the Gospel
- Serve Others
- Nurture all God’s people with Love, Respect, Trust, and Forgiveness after the example of Jesus Christ
Who We Are
Faith Moravian Church of the Nation’s Capital was formally established in the District of Columbia on May 26, 1986, as an accredited congregation of the Moravian denomination. The Moravian Church, which originated in Moravia, Central Europe, is the oldest Protestant denomination in the world. The Moravians became a worldwide church through the teachings of missionaries who brought the gospel to various areas including North America, Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
Our FAITH reflects a positive relationship with God the Father, God’s son, Jesus Christ, and an infilling and indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit.
Our mission is to teach and preach the doctrine of the Christian Faith in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area; and to bring men, women, and children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Included in this mission is an emphasis on providing Christian social services to members of the community – the youth, elderly, and homeless.
